I saw some red velvet cake at the store and I wanted to try it but I didn’t want to buy it then end up wasting it. Is it good or is it bad. I’m just looking for opinions so I can compare them.

Yes, we'd probably say " I saw ???in a shop, you refer to them as the store, we'd use store when referring to usually large clothes retailer etc
