How can a person stop eating food when there is nothing else to do. I am trying to drink loads of water hoping against all hopes.

I recall if you are interested that when we burnt out during the Troubles of 69 - we had to live with my aunt and uncle (they had no children) for a while. I'm a bundle of nerves with it all and one night my mother and I were sleeping together and my aunt and uncle were in the front bedroom, we were in the back - my mother shouted Jesus Madge there is a ricochet of shots being fired, no my aunt replied it's just Tommy letting off. You know that night I just went completely deaf that I had to feel my mother's lips to "hear" what she was saying. There was a curfew on and we weren't allowed any lighting.
oh ok Atheist- would you like to hear the night I was shot. My beautiful friend had been killed in an RTA on a Saturday night end of April 72 - I was like the Holy Joe I was then - selling Holy Magazines, St Martin de porres, Messenger. This was on the Monday following her death - I called to see her mother quite late ie 10.30pm - she didn't take her body home. However, I was offered a lift home that night and I refused as the driver was going to deliver another passenger way past where I lived - so I decided to walk it home - not far - about quarter of a mile.
I am happily walking at 11.00pm this Monday night (my brother was singing in a local pub) - I walked past a local park, a bang rang out - I held my leg in pain but did think it was a backshot from a car - no I was attacked from a passing car with a wee bullet or two. Good for me tho - the bullet hit a park and the bullet richochet into the railings and two of the bits hit me behind the knee and the calf of the leg. I hadn't a clue what had happened - a lady came up to me and said "you have been shot" - what - Jesus - my mother will kill me. But I couldn't see any wounds but then I looked at the back of my leg and there blood was running down the leg. Would you believe it it happened outside the Royal Victoria Hospital. Two young lads appeared ( I knew one of them) - they lifted me (I was skinny then LOl) - and carried me in the air to the lift of the RVH - I went down the lift (on my own) and was rushed in on a stretcher.
Next thing brother who had been singing in the local pub (professionally) rushed in (he was the colour of death) - Jesus - have you been shot - aye says I - think so - but I said - DO NOT TELL THE MOTHER SHE WILL KILL ME.
He goes home to tell the mother - this is what I knew later - mother is in bed - brother tells her to be calm - and tells her I've been shot.
Right with her nerves - "that's ok" - we'll bury her in the morning - I can't take much more and fainted. Wasn't it lucky she fainted in bed.
That had had happened about 11.00pm. After some freeze and a bandage or two - my brother and I limped home at 4.00am - there was no taxis in 1969. Found mother snoring - couldn't believe it. Many years later I said - I couldn't believe it - you were snoring and I had just been just shot.
"oh my love - I just fainted at the news but lucky enough I was in bed".
My dad didn't even know cos he was in another room - he went onto his work and found out when he came home.
I got £200 for my troubles (claim)
