How can a person stop eating food when there is nothing else to do. I am trying to drink loads of water hoping against all hopes.

Was driving past the pub earlier and I spotted two game looking lasses in the pub car park .. it was their sticky out hair that caught my attention !
Good lad, alvahalf, wasn't a 76 Ford Capri 3 litre S parked in the corner was there ? ;-)
There was actually. The two girls wore tiny mini skirts, they were chewing gum, had wild hair and they were sat on the bonnet .. I thought to myself .. 'they look like a right couple of AB'ers'
LOL, wonder who they could have been ;-)
Careful now you two......:-)
Hey gness. they have those machines on the wall in the gents you know ;-)
Make sure you don't buy the stuff you will regret eating, if its not in the house at least any snacking you do will not be as damaging.
You don’t have to sit and watch tv, go for a walk read a book, go for a coffee and drink it outside
Jenny; would you consider starting to write about your life? A sort of autobiography.
Question Author
Atheist. Would you read it?
Jenny; if I had it I would read it. I think your family (if you have one) would be very interested. If you started to write about your childhood, all the little memories, you might get hooked on it. It's worth a try, if you think you could manage to start typing. I wrote my autobiog from birth to the age of eleven and was surprised at all I could remember.
Question Author
I did start from when my mother was born due to her raconteurs over the years but do think my family wouldnt want the dirty laundry exposed. Lol
Jenny, you can write an expurgated version for the sensitive ones, and a full version for yourself. It's just a suggestion. Maybe a job that will give a bit of a framework to life, and a pattern of daily achievement if you get into a rhythm. And there's always the possibility of it being published if you do a good job and it is racy enough.
Question Author
ahahahha - racy no deffo not - also somebody used the word "serene" for me - deffo not in my vocubulary or my life. Nobody would call me serene in the least.

Question Author
Atheist - my mother was really a fabulous raconteur. I recall when a beloved aunt of mine had died and everybody was crammed into her tiny house, living room, scullery, stairs, and the wee room for a wake.

I couldn't get into the front door because of the cramming so ended up going in by the back. All I could "hear" was silence as someone was talking (my being deaf) I didn't know who it was - but when the whole of the crowd started killing themselves laughing - I knew it was my mother who was telling the stories (probably exaggerated). There must have been 70 people there that day. She was such a funny lady and I miss her so much. She could have made a pig laugh.
Jenny, you definitely should write this stuff where you can keep it. Don't just leave ephemeral bits here, put them down for posterity as well.
Said in a Deep South drawl..." she was so funny, she could make a daaam pig laugh!"
I have a crafting production line , but still doesn't stop the I am bored what can I eat thing... It does cut it down though. I am snacking as distraction from pain at the moment.
rowan, are you eating as you type? (or thumb?)
Question Author
rowan - you are a woman of many talents - all I can do is a bit of crotchet and even at that my arms are too "heavy" to lift up now.
