Fish and chips from the chippie. I hadn't ate them for some time but bought some last week. They were soaked in fat.

barry @ 13.00 Bland is the word you're looking for, the reason, going right back to the 60/70s the most expensive ingredient, and still is today, in pies /sausages/ black pudding, anything of that nature is seasoning, they added only 4oz of seasoning to each 20lb mix of sausage meat back in the 60/70s not any longer, the cheaper they make it is what its all about now, the so called herbs just don't do it, as long as the colour looks the part now job done.

i loved crab meat once upon a time, until i had food poisoning.
Not much of it emmie, though my mother cooked with it, as a child you have no choices really, just grew to hate it the older I got. Hubby loves it though and greasy foods. ugh.

same with me and roast dinners, made to eat the overcooked, mushed veg type ones of my childhood, if you didn't then heaven help you, can;t stand them now
Cheesecake, I used to love it until I gorged on once to the point of feeling sick and have never touched it since, that was years ago.
My butcher still makes wonderful black pudding and sausages.

i did the same with whisky one night having too much, now i can;t stand the smell
the smell of gin makes me heave
and rum and whisky come to think of it
