Our neighbour goes to Morrisons every night for reduced stuff.

She is amazing, spends about two hours waiting for reduced stuff. She always gets us some.

Tonight, fresh chicken reduced from £4.58 to 23 pence.

Loads of other stuff reduced from £3 to 10p.

I could not be bothered personally but she loves doing it.

My freezer is jam packed.

good bargains to be had if you go to the market near closing time when the stallholders are packing away their perishables :-)
Its a good way to shop if you're a night owl. What time is late?
I know someone who lives opposite our COOP, she makes several trips a night there waiting for the reductions, I find those that do this are quite greedy people too ( she is)
My ex used to do that in Sainsbury's after he finished work, late evening.
I wish our Tesco would reduce items like this. You're lucky if they take off 20p. Mind you, I've never been late at night.

I agree Bobbs. However, they are strapped for cash.

Would not do it myself.
This person isn't,I know first hand, she's loaded
I just couldn't be bothered.
Being able to shout and swear in an Eastern European language as well as having a good stare helps in the process around here.

Some are very greedy and entitled.

I always pay her for what she gets us, plus a bit extra.

Years ago me and my sister went to tescos late sat when they closed sundays.

Can't be bothered now.
I'm doing this lady's Probate and believe me Sparkly it's eye watering ;0)
Bobbisox1.......I apologise for being unable to fully understand your remarks.

It's the reference to 'Probate' which is confusing me, because you have indicated that the lady is still alive.

Hans.
can't you be temporarily 'loaded' once you're dead?
Arh sorry, I should have put * husbands* in
My apologies Hans and ael
Thanks Bobbisox.....It's so easy to 'slip-up' when posting into AB.

Hans,
There's thousands of tons of food given to charity/ food banks every year, despite this there is still tons of food that is wasted in this country alone. So anyone that's happy to buy reduced items, and at the same time save money that's just good common sense in my book, anyone who thinks any different to that logic, then there's something very wrong with them, not the people that choose to do it. You normally find the folk that don't do it are very snobby, and stuck up, more money than sense, and god for bid to be seen buying it would be the height of embarrassment for them. Greedy?? no, not when people that have looked after their money then leave it for someone else to benefit from their savings.
And what will you do with all that amassed cash?
You can't take it with you !!!
And if that makes me a snob then I'm a snob, !!!!!
Teacake - and what about those who don't drive? Are they still considered snobs?
Some good info on reduction times here:

Some still don't get it, or just don't read the full post. The present circumstances affecting the young of today, reduced working hours, or no work at all for many months to come my kids won't suffer.
ummmm, there folk who can't get out obviously, but who's talking about them? not me.
