My wife has hinted that she would like a soup maker.

Can anyone personally recommend one that is not extortionately expensive, simple to use and one where ingredients sticking is not a problem?

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

I always sweat vegetables before I make soup from them. For that reason I prefer doing it the old way.
Thanks Mamya, never made soup before but might have a go. I have a stick blender so that and a saucepan should do it.
I sometimes sweat them off, depends on the veg really.

Roast tom and red pepper definitely.
Sounds like lots of soup makers are doing the healthy thing.
At least there has been no mention of a can opener in this thread .... yet !
We have family coming down to stay over Xmas .. they have requested Leek and Potato. I have suggested we make it an experience. They come with me to the allotment. They can dig the leeks out as well as the spuds.
We will then call in the pub on the way home for a couple .. followed by me overseeing, while they make the soup .. they cant wait.
Happy days !
I always add some pulses to soup for crunch. Not pleased if all is mulched
I added lentils to my veg soup yesterday, tasted beautiful
I have a Vonshef which was £40 and works well
