I know that LBV port does not improve with age once it's bottled - but does it deteriorate? I've come across an (unopened) bottle that's sat in the back of a cupboard for 10 years or so. Will it be drinkable or should I use it up for cooking?

It should be perfectly drinkable. (I've drunk port which has been sitting around for much longer than 10 years and it's always been fine).

Having said that, if I had some guests visiting and I'd promised them a glass of port, I'd have a 'back-up' bottle available just in case!
