Judging by the looks of them, I wish they would leave the UK and go and live in the EU, if they like it so much.

The situation is straightforward: The UK electorate voted to leave the EU. However close the result was (and the majority was 1.269m votes on a turnout of 72%) is immaterial. It was a substantial number. The government who called the referendum (and who framed the question and spent vast sums of public money trying to persuade the electorate to vote to...

was watching footage of this earlier, and have since been trying to get my head round placards that said "Stop Tory Brexit". which seemed an odd thing to say as Brexit isn't divided along party lines and the leader of the opposition is himself an arch brexiter. unless the placards are meant to imply there are different brexits available and maybe a labour Brexit would be more to their liking?
I see Bez is still an activist
Khan or Can't is a horrible little man.
Just a point of order but......we still do live in the EU.
One placard said "I am 16 and Brexit stole my future"

Some people forget that we have been a successful country for hundreds of years before we joined the EEC (or whatever it was called then)

We (and German) have propped up the EU for decades with our huge financial input, seeing countries like Poland given BILLIONS of pounds to build motorways so they can get their goods to the UK easier.

Many parts of the UK have seen little or no benefit to being part of the EU (it is only really the South East that has benefited)

Maybe that 16 year old should go and live in Spain where youth unemployment (those under 25 years old) stands at about 34%

And Spain are IN the EU !!!!!
"Maybe that 16 year old should go and live in Spain where youth unemployment (those under 25 years old) stands at about 34%

And Spain are IN the EU !!!!!"

And (more pertinently as far as this matter goes) Spain uses the euro - one of the EU's proudest achievements.
one of the roles of a democracy is that citizens participate in public affairs, with respect for different points of view. therefore this march is not Anti - democratic, just anti-brexit
Bednobs, the referendum, which was democratic resulted in a majority wishing to leave the EU, so a march to reverse that decision is undemocratic.
No wonder poorer eastern European countries are clamoring to join the EU, this is Lithuania.

\\Breakdown of Lithuania’s finances with the EU in 2016:

Total EU spending in Lithuania: € 1.477 billion
Total EU spending as % of Lithuanian gross national income (GNI): 3.99 %
Total Lithuanian contribution to the EU budget: € 0.319 billion
Lithuanian contribution to the EU budget as % of its GNI: 0.86 %//

So they contribute € 0.3b and get €1.47b back, not a bad deal.

If Khan is leading this parade, or demonstration shouldn't he be dressed up in multicoloured garb and prancing around whilst playing a pipe?
its not actually going to do that though is it?
Shame on him and all the marching remoaners.
Not that they're likely to be satisfied. Their Saturday they're wasting making a fool of themselves.
Are we meant to deduce that Khan leading the protest means that all muslims are remoaners or that all Londoners are? Was the Home Secretary there?
Calling for a ‘people’s vote’ undemocratic?

You might not agree with them, but ‘undemocratic’ it isn’t.

We’re all desperate to leave the EU apparently so we’d simply vote to leave again ;-)
They are worried about a border in N. Ireland, and how it could lead to trouble.
What trouble may raise its head here if we are ignored?
Seriously. So many people are fed up, and want OUR civil rights and democracy respected.
"OUR civil rights and democracy" belongs to EVERYONE...both those who voted leave and those for remain. And that vote was pretty close, wasn't it? Not exactly an overwhelming majority, was it? Can you really blame some for being unhappy with the outcome? I'm certain if it was reversed the reaction might be similar...there would be leavers desperate for a second vote.
So, does anyone know if/when brexit will occur ?
Did you know that wealthy celebrities are reportedly funding 150 coaches to bus in protestors from all over the country to boost numbers at the march today?
Did you know that some of the groups promoting the march are in fact “EU funded sock puppet organisations” with evidence showing between 300,000 and 350,000 euros to European Alternatives and the European Movement, in particular.
Did you know that Britons(indigenous I presume) believe a second Brexit referendum would not be accepted by the public and could end in calls for a third vote or civil unrest? That is according to a survey done as yet unpublished...….probably never will be.
Did You know that the consequences of a Remain vote have also changed, however, with the EU continuing to expand and acquire new powers, and its governing bureaucrats claiming Britain would have to surrender its multi-billion pound budget rebate in order to change its minds and stay in the bloc.
Do you have proof togo?
I suggest all the remainers up stumps and go to ,virtually, a police state like France.
Oh hang on. The diminutive dwarf toyboy has threatened already that should there be a No deal Brexit he will make Brits apply for a visa to holiday or do business in France. So bleedin what. We did that years ago.
Our Government have already proclaimed that all EU citizens already residing and working in the UK are secure in their residence here after Brexit. The cheese eating surrender monkey has decreed that ex pats in France will be declared illegal immigrants if they do not register.
Somebody should remind Messy Macron that no one demanded visas from the Brits in 1914 and 1944.
Yes remainers. That is the welcome that France offers you. Go there.
