you know when we go for a flavoured icecream - just reading there and it is true of course that - strawberry flavoured icecream is completely different to strawberry icecream.

where can I buy legitimate icecream.

we have a few here too Murray - but am still not convinced it is the real macoy either - tastes a bit too watery

Carte D'or strawberry ice cream has strawberry juice in it and real bits of strawberry. This may not be 'real' enough for you, but I think it's delicious. Never buy it unless it's on offer though, (which it often is), as it's quite expensive.

Tv Edwardian kitchen made ice cream by freezing custard & whisking. Add any fruit - easy & cheap ;)

We're not Edwardians so don't need cheap DIY substitutes for proper ice-cream of which there are many high-end brands today which actually taste of what they say on the box and don't have nasty artificial flavours. Forget all the cheapo ones and just eat decent stuff less often if cost is an issue.

An update : - bought the Carte D'Or strawberry - beautiful - little bits of strawberry - you know what - it's all gone. Only took 2 days. Was only £2 too.
