Which would you say is easier to follow, it seems some people think slimming world is a bit complicated.

I always found SW easier as long as you stuck to the free food list.
Erm...common sense ..not paying for the, priviledge of losing weight!! We all know what we should be doing! If you're serious about losing weight you don't need anyone else. Like giving up smoking, it's personal choice. Most IMO save your money...cut portion sizes....eat health food not junk rubbish, exercise and know what's good for you. If you need others to support you, you ain't serious about losing. Mind set is all.... If ya wanna lose you will... If not...keep on keeping on.....simples!
If I want to lose weight quickly I just bin sugar and heavy carbs completely, however I did do slimming world a few years ago and that does give a good steady result, also many people find their support structure helpful.
I have friends that have successfully lost weight - some with WW, some with SW, others under their own steam.
I believe SW is not as complicated as it used to be so it might be worth checking it out,
I know WW offers a free session, so check it out before you choose.
In my opinion both are overpriced and use hard sales tactics to sell it's own products.

dunitall ive been watching what I eat since last thursday cut out all the junk and snacks, walking a lot and I've put 1lb on
I lost weight steadily with WW. Took some time but did work.
I would say slimmers world. my daughter in law has lost 7 stone, enough for her to take up running to help complete the job. being in a club with others with the same problem helped her to feel that she was not battling alone. and meetings where they compare weight loss helped to keep them on track.
sw deffo. extra easy now
Slimming World is brilliant. I know people say 'why pay', but the fact that you are going to be weighed each week does keep you on the straight and narrow.
Good luck, you're doing the right thing xx
My sister and niece use slimming world and they basically pay to be weighed every week. I don't think either have lost weight.
Ummm - they are probably not eating the right things. Everyone I know who has gone to S/W has lost weight, me included.
No they aren't and they eat far too much.
I have tried everything and as soon as I reached goal weight and stopped going to either of them I put it all back on again. I think it is a waste of money and what you really need is determination and constant vigilance. It has to be the one thought which is foremost in your mind and it is definitely not easy.
You shouldn't abandon the diet or the meetings when you reach target weight, starone.
They obviously work for you when you stick to the eating plan. As far as I know both clubs don't charge members who are at their target weight.
It's not a diet, it's a change in lifestyle, forever.
Yes, exactly. They help people to change the way they eat.
I know all too well, hc. but I am weakwilled and so love food.
the app on myfitnesspal is quite good, you enter what you eat and what you do exercise wise and it works out what you are taking in versus burning off, give you targets etc to reach.
Didn't they used to have a slimming club on Answerbank? If my memory is right, what happened to that and what about reopening it. Or is it still in existence?
I joined with my granddaughter as I was so worried about her weight gain when her dad was ill then passed away .she has lost 3st 7lbs, I lost 4st it is a friendly place and everyone helps you ,and like people have said it helps keep you on the staright and narrow x
