I have the grandchildren coming for pancakes tomorrow and they eat a LOT, so I would like to start making them earlier . Anybody know the best way to do that ? Do you think if I keep them warm in the oven stacked they will stick together ? It seems a bit excessive to put a sheet of greaseproof paper between each one. Or could I make them earlier still and warm them up in the microwave ?

Make them earlier. Let them go cold and then stack them. I'd probably reheat in a frying pan so you get to toss them.
