Does anyone know of a brand of sliced white bread that is square, not rectangular? We've got a new sandwich toaster and my regular brand is too long and wide enough (I do my grocery shopping online so I can't compare).

Warburton do Toastie bread...in an orange wrapper.
Asda do square bread according to Google
That’s what I use for toasties too
Buy your regular brand, Sherr.....and let the kids spend a rainy afternoon squishing all the slices into squares.... ;-)
Asda do a white medium square sliced and I'm sure there are other similar outlets.
if it's too long and too wide then just trim it and feed the leftovers to the birds.

I buy Warburtons bread as our normal bread and their toastie bread is thick but not square.
Just cut a bit off one of the longer sides of a slice of standard sized loaf... or is having crust all the way round of major importance?
sorry cashier - not there when I started typing

Jackdaw - it's too long one way and too narrow the other (can't put bread out for the birds as I have a young cat).
Hovis do a 'Best of Both' thick square cut loaf, described as "A clever combination of wholegrain and wheatgerm, with the taste of white bread". £1.05 in Tesco, Morrison's, Sainsbury's & Waitrose:

Sorry, my original question omitted NOT wide enough :(
Some years ago a company advertised square bread saying that it was made to fit Kraft cheese slices.
For toast I use a Tesco 'Value' loaf 35p. It's not good as bread but it is great as toast ,and it's square.
Why not buy your favourite bread and simply cut it with a knife to fit your toaster or toast the person who chose to buy the new piece of equipment?
get the small warburtons toastie loaf, that is square
Sainsbury's cheapest own-brand wholemeal is square and would be much healthier than white cardboard.
I think this is true of all bread and toasters though Sherrard, certainly it is with ours, we just ignore the untoasted bit and eat it anyway or do it in a cage on the Aga more often.
What about purchasing a bread maker ( I'm not sure how expensive they are) then shop round for a loaf to to suit your toaster ?
