Two part question:-

What's your food for tonight?

I've got lots of veg, some bacon, pancetta, mushrooms and cheese. I was meant to be having haggis neeps and tatties but I forgot to take the haggis out the freezer. So I'm struggling for inspiration. Any ideas? (Not a takeaway, I had one last night). At the moment its looking like "Pasta with random stuff out of the fridge sauce".

Or I could just go and nick NoM's meatballs (wonder if Mr NoM will mind)!

God save us!
I'm having king prawn noodle soup.

I'm thinking about your main :-)
2-part answer. Dinner tonight is cottage pie, made by Mr J2 whilst I was in school this morning. I'll do carrots to go with it.

Your random collection sounds like a rather delish Spanish omelette, if you have eggs handy.
Make a sauce with the cheese and use it on a pasta with the bacon and pancetta.A sort of carbonara.

I made myself a crispy Tesco roll with McCoy's salt and vinegar crisps in it. I will have another one later. ☺
Roasted veg with pancetta make some gnocchi and roast that sprinkle with cheese

mmmmm, both a spanish omelette or a carbonara type sound nice.

BUt now I fancy cottage pie!

Jackdaw, thanks for your input, but this is F&D rather than R&S.

Roasted gnocchi is lush

Never tried roasting it. Pan fry it often and really like it.

I always keep some for when I cant be bothered to do spuds. Although Mr BM doesnt like it. AT ALL. We should know by the end of the week whether our new house is going through. He was googling the village last night. There are 2 pubs (1 serving food) and a fish and chip shop that does chinese takeaways. So those are his cooking nights sorted. Apparently.
Lol me islay is the same on his cooking night or at least he was before my op!! Now he just eats pot noodles
Roast chicken, cabbage, carrots & roast potatoes.
