Well, today (Friday), it's a complete Waitrose Reductions meal...went in for a few items and they were virtually giving away food...5p for fresh veg, huge tandoori king prawn meal (£9 down to 99p), huge box of cooked chicken thighs 49p, all party food £6 down to 45p, ready meals £4 down to 20p etc. Four large bags-for-life full for £7.....where to start?
Miller & Carter for us - its our Christmas present to his parents.

I'll probably have calamari, followed by fillet steak.
That's brilliant. It's when I read posts like that I wish I wasn't so lazy :-D
That was to Ginge.

gingebee that's fantastic - I did similar at M&S yesterday including my complete indulgence of scallops, prawns salmon and garlic butter reduce to £1.50 for 2 so I bought 4 boxes as one shell fills me up!! Also got lots of cooked chicken for the dogs, pigs in blankets and so it goes on.
Tonights dinner is pate on melba toast mmm

Bit fed up with steak now as have had it so often over the last 9 months. Its just frightfully boring now

Where is this? All Waitrose’s or just your local?

“Bags for life full”

Filled with what? More cheap food?
Get cooking, open up a Del Boy market table” meals on wheels” and you’ll be making all the money you probably spent over xmas x10
I really need the iron!
Can't decide between a chicken patia, rice and sundries or baked sea bass with roasted pepper, fennel and shallots with a pesto dressing.

Fruit and cheese will follow whichever way we go.

Good luck with Miller & Carter NoM.
Been twice before, Eccles, and both times were superb.

What about veg Eccles?
Well who knows. There are two men in this house who are both in bed. One has man flu. The other was up half the night with bad heartburn (we may have over done the celebrations last night). We WERE meant to be heading back to his and grabbing a takeaway before we head off on a romantic night away. But it's looking like beans on toast for me now.
We've just had Green soup, from Delia's cheating book, uses a bag of spinach, watercress and rocket but I don't use frozen mash, and a platter of things from the freezer we forgot we had bought for Christmas, tempura prawns, duck spring rolls and southern fried chicken pieces all with dips. A very eclectic meal but the fridge and the freezer now look like the Gobi desert.
Chicken and bacon casserole in the slow cooker, so will be quick and easy later.
Islay, I will play my hand steady with my favourites of bindi or brinjal bahjee.

A glorified Harvester described as superb is a new one on me.

lol that classy eh?
This is classy...pie, chips and peas...with gravy.
Duck breasts for us (nice and pink) hasleback potatoes, carrots, cabbage and sprouts with a spiced plum sauce.
Oh make that beans on toast with an entree of a bag of Thornton's chocs.
My entree was cheese and biscuits and then we had pate with melba toast.
