I like quite a few. Maybe Silent Night ?
Good evening corylus

I've just googled the list of english xmas carols .
I didn't realise there were so many .

I would agree with your choice of 'In the Bleak Midwinter,'
I would also chuck in ' Lord Of The Dance '
My husband's is 'Deck your bowels with bits of holly'. Fool! :o)
This one :-)

silent night by the Vienna boys choir .
when my daughter was little she use to sing at the top of her voice away in the manger
no crib for a bed
the little OLD jesus lay etc
Hark the Herald Angels.
Harmonious & cheeful

Thank you B00 x
Not being a fan of conventional Christmas carols, this is my favourite Christmas song by my favourite singer....The Rebel Jesus by Jackson Browne.

I wonder how many people actually think the herald's name is Hark?
Silent Night, even if it's sang in German. And, Little Donkey, it always make me smile when I think of my kids singing it at their carol concerts in primary school. Another fav is Oh Holy Night.
Doh, now I'm thinking of carols. I love Oh Come All Ye Faithful, as well.

BOO, I love 'Oh Holy Night' and only recently have I heard the second verse of the three that starts 'Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, with glowing hearts by his cradle we stand.'
