I've never given it much thought until today when I discovered that black grapes require a day/night change in temperature to develop their dark colour.

A probably useless snippet of trivia but I found it interesting.

ooo I wonder if that is the same for red grapes?
I learnt today that I can no longer eat millionaire shortbread without vomiting badly and it almost putting me in a coma!!
One that I found out was that red, green, yellow and orange peppers are all just peppers picked at different times I never their maturity.

I noticed it more now because I have grown them for a couple of years and at first thought I had all green peppers but the ones I didn't pick turned to the other colours.

Mr Cake is a fan of millionaires shortbread, I would vomit too if I ate it, I'm not a fan of shortbread and the thought of that amount of sugar is enough to send me into a coma. I really do not have a sweet tooth.

Black/red grapes guess it applies equally.

The redder the pepper the more Vit C you get.
Along with tablet it used to be my go to sweetie - sob no more - I am just coming down from a massive high!!

Hell no, never, ever will tablet pass my lips again. Even the texture gives me goosebumps.

eccles I looked on their page on FB and can't see that post...if you copy paste the address on here, people should be able to see it as business pages are usually public
Thanks Mc Fluff, I guess it the same as leaves....when they change colour, its not because the new colours are created but because the chlorophyll leaves the leaf revealing the reds and gold that were there all along.

It must be a tedious job at the grape farm, removing all those seeds, just to sell seedless grapes to lazy people!!
