What's cooking at yours, or are you going out for lunch / dinner?

I'm doing a few hours overtime and we're having posh fish finger sandwiches and chunky chips tonight, with mushy peas and tartare sauce.

1y old wine. Gallon bucket of florets into 5lts of boiling water. Strain/discard florets when aroma subsides. Add 2bags sugar, sachet yeast & cup lemon juice. Stir & boil all till sugar dissolved. Leave to cool, pour into 5ltr plastic container & forget it in outhouse till needed ;)

Hi Nomercy, I am having roast lamb and all the trimmings, roast pots, yorkshire pud, selection of veg and gravy. Wine is cooling.
There is no pudding as we are normally quite full after eating and may have a cornetto/magnum later on.
Posh fish fingers. The ones I buy (birds eye, purported to be cod) are carp. Thin fish, thick sloppy batter. Where can you get posh ones ?
Aldi!!!

You can buy goujons of sole and such like at M&S, Finny.

Roast lamb sounds amazing, Sharon. I wish I could muster the enthusiasm to cook at the moment. I did fancy paella last night but we ended up with samosas and shish kebabs which we bought at the Farm Shop and bunged in the oven.
I cannot afford M and S ,lol.
Or you could simply make your own, Finny. Very easy.
Will google a few recipes, cheers.
I'm being taken out by my mates for an early birthday celebration tonight. Tapas...tagines...and other Mediterranean/middle eastern items are on the menu, so we'll see.
Not sure Mrs c is not well so will play it by ear today
Bernie, cook for her!
I do all the cooking anyway!
Finny - I use this recipe. Just cut the fish into fish finger sized portions.
