is it worth complaining to sainsburys that some of the items are wrong and get them exchanged. i haven't a clue whether they would come back and take away the unwanted items.

Dont think so, they're substitutions aren't they? Something they can do when the original item isn't available and terms which you agreed to when signing up.
They wouldn't come back, Emmie, but they will deduct them from your bill. Ring customer services.
They won't come back but they will give you your money back if they got it wrong.
Did the delivery person discuss the replacements with you? Mine always does.
Question Author
if anyone can find me a number to ring, when i look at contact us it means you have to register, they delivered basmati rice which i don't like instead of easy cook rice, i am not happy.
Question Author

no they said there was no replacements.
Have you looked to see if you can get a refund online?

how did you get a delivery if you didnt register emmie?
Question Author
i go through an agency that does it for me
it might be that i will have to lump it. if i feel up to it will find a number for sainsburys or just get rid of the basmati rice, i don't like it at all.
Did Sainsburys deliver it or did the agency? If it was the agency who actually picked your shopping in the supermarket?
If sainsburys delivered it the contact number is on the delivery slip.

and sainsbury's does the picking not the agency.
Emmie - the number & times below are for the Sainsbury Customer Careline -

Question Author
i can't find the delivery slip for some reason. will have a look again shortly. I also got two of the same cheese when i only ordered one. This is not the only time they have given me
more than i asked for.
Bit confused. What agency emmie? Do you not order direct from Sainsbury's?
Question Author
smow no, i go through Age UK.
if you did it thru an agency, you need to check they didn't ask for basmati rice. If you said to them you needed some rice they may have asked for it anyway, then saisburys is under no obligation to make it right
Question Author
i am on to them now, seems it might be the agency, that's what sainsburys say.
I'd be very happy if they gave me basmati rice - much better than that awful "easy cook" stuff but still dead simple to cook.
What's the advantage in going through Age UK?
