Which is your favourite? I've recently discovered that there are some amazingly good ones made in the Black Forest, but I don't know if they export them. I've just bought a bottle of Tanqueray which I see is 47% and has the royal warrant. I believe H.M. likes a drop of gin, so it must be her tipple.

Sipsmiths to drink on the rocks, no tonic, slice of lime - in many ways, like a Cointreau on ice. Blackwoods as a gin with tonic. For commercial, Tanqueray for me with tonic, Blue Sapphire for a Martini, and for a local gin, the Tarquin..... By the way, the Edinburgh is quite nice for a G&T as well.

I can`t stand gin. When I ask customers what they want though (we have a choice of Gordons or Tanqueray) the answer is usually Tanqueray
We had a thread on favourite gins not too long ago Khandro.
I put forward Forest Gin made seasonally in Macclesfield, about 10 miles from me. It's absolutely beautiful (got it served with frozen raspberries); however it is about £52 per bottle so I don't indulge very often.

At the rate I drink it I can only afford Sainsbury's own brand. Not bad for £16.50 per litre, although at the moment Morrison's has Gordon's on special for £16 per litre.
Rock Rose is my all time favourite, followed by Henricks, then Botanist.
Presently it's Opihr with Fevertree Elderflower tonic, a wedge of lime and generous sprig of mint.

I want a G&T now, but it's a school night and I swore I wouldn't... :(
Bombay is on offer a J Sainsbury's at the mo - £18 p/L (normally £24)
My favourite is Menorcan. 237 I can't really tell the difference between those two but confess when asked I always say Tanqueray too as it's cooler!!
I very very rarely drink gin. Sloe gin on rare occasions. Are the various brands that different ? What should one try at the pub ?
Old Raj for me. It's flavoured with saffron and made here in Scotland.
I love a gin with tonic. I usually have Gordons or Bombay.
Sipsmiths is quality

Having bought the Tanqueray today at 19 euros = £16, for half a litre, at 47.3%. I had to decide whether to open that, or the 'Black Forest Gin' at 42%, price unknown (a present).
Well the Black Forest has gone down very well and the guests enjoyed it, me too, and I'm not as thunk as you drink I am. The Tanqueray awaits for another day.

Captain; Just checked on your Gin, which sounds interesting (42%) but a hell of a price, Intriguing!
Sipsmiths is lovely (and so is their Sloe Gin), Martin Miller isn't bad, Tanqueray and Hendricks are very nice and when in St Ives in saw a gin at a whopping 57% !!

It was always fun to ask for this in a loud voice.

Years ago and old gentleman lectured me, that the only proper G&T, was made with Beefeater Gin and Hunts Tonic.

Thanks to all for your contributions, much research ahead.
I love Bombay Sapphire if I'm out somewhere. Just the normal Bombay at home, as it's cheaper. I can't stand Gordon's.
Khando - friend loves Bombay Sapphire
