Cleaning Microwave

I know half a lemon will do it, but as an alternative does anyone know if lemon juice in a small bowl will have same effect

Plain water will do it, its not the lemon, its the steam.

Wipe the inside of the microwave with a very wet cloth then turn on for 30 secs this produces steam and hot water on the dirt that needs lifting. Then wipe clean.

I just put water in a plastic jug.

The only part lemon plays is making the inside smell fresher (perhaps!)

It has to be a microwavable jug ummmm, not an ordinary PLASTIC jug!
