Stew and Dumplings. I'm looking forward to it. x
We are going out to our local Indian restaurant. Not sure what I shall choose yet.
Steak pie, boiled baby potatoes and carrots accompanied by butter! Plus, for pudding, prize-winning Victoria sponge cake (says she, polishing her nails modestly after collecting a Third prize in the village show this afternoon). Sorry for showing off, but I got chucked out of cookery at school, haven't baked for 20 years and got talked into a very nervous entry - no, there weren't only 3 cakes, there were 10!
Philipino Mackerel Adobo with Jasmine rice, spinach and pickled chilli.

We're going out for big fat steaks tonight. Can't wait
Chicken in a honey and mustard sauce with new potatoes and runner beans courtesy of my friends garden.

Sweet is homemade bakewell tart with custard.

What the hecks that retro??
Mmm, stew and dumplings, can't remember the last time I had a dumpling.
Fridge surprise!

I'll be surprised if nothing is wearing a fluffy blue overcoat :-(

What's all this going out for a meal tonight...Indian, big fat steak, anyone would think it's a bank holiday...oh yes, it is!
We're celebrating my son's GCSE results, so we thought we'd take him to a nice steakhouse.

Well done rockys son, is he going on to A levels?
Yep. My brother took him out yesterday to buy him a couple of suits to wear for Sixth Form (Mr RR and I are useless at that kind of thing). He tried one on to show me earlier and my heart sank, as gorgeous as he looked in it, he looked like a young man. My baby has well and truly gone :(
Sorry Eth, I thought we were in chatterbank

As far as I'm concerned we are Rocky, just slightly leaning towards food...:)

Not sure I fancy anything in a fluffy blue overcoat...

Cupotee, apparently Heston whatsisname does a bakewell tart vodka which is supposed to be very nice with prossecco. Might give it a go, fancy it?
I'm having a takeaway. I don't know whether to have lobster bhuna (not actually lobster but the biggest prawns you've ever seen) or King prawn potential.

Decisions decisions :)
Thank you ethandron - I think the answer to your question is a very firm 'No'.
Mr. J2 is, however, so supportive (for that read 'he's a greedy cake-lover') that I'm feeling encouraged enough to have a go at a few cakes. Perhaps one a week when we've finished eating-up the offerings prepared for today (I practised all week!).
Podena not potential :)
