Its an ugly brute,isnt it.i am using it to make celeriac soup,never tasted it,so keeping my fingers crossed.

It is a lovely vegetable, and if you are watching the calories note that it has many less than other roots. It makes a great soup (liquidized), mashed either alone or mixed with potatoes, or roasted. Awesome for me when roasted with your spuds
I haven't had celeriac for years. I used to enjoy celeriac fries and also creamy mash. Mmm, got my tastebuds going now!

Captain - I always parboil my spuds prior to roasting, would you do that with celeriac?
Margo - no we don't parboil as they are softer to start with - just lump them in.
Absolutely delicious. We roast pork on a bed of sliced celeriac and apples = yummy.

well'i love my nuts'so the taste will be fine boxtops.
I wouldn't eat it on its own, personally - celeriac mash is good.
It tastes like celery.
I don't think it tastes nutty. It's like mild celery but with the texture of sweet potato. I really like it.

Erm, I think celery tastes nutty too - proves we are all individual - but I guess the clue is in the name - celeri(ac)

Celeriac makes glorious soup. Blitzed you get get a really silky smooth soup.
Delicious - a bit fibrous sometimes - roast or mash.... yum!
I love celeriac, doesn't look good but a great taste, enjoy
