Cointreau Miniatures

Do any of the supermarkets sell miniatures? I live in the sticks, so no posh off licences and I need some Cointreau for a Christmas trifle. I know I can buy online but with the postage it's about £5/£6 which is a bit much for me. Otherwise I could ask for a take out measure at the pub but don't suppose that will go very far.

Never seen them in supermarket. When I needed a bit of booze for a recipe, I just popped into our local, they were very good about it - you could always ask for a double measure if you think you might not have enough in one measure. (Of course it did help that I lived next door to the pub!)

A miniature brandy is £3.90 now so Cointreau is going to be the same with postage on top.
I would buy a double in a pub and take it out in a small clean bottle. A miniature is 50ml the same as a pub double.

Miniatures tend to be expensive. Buy a litre bottle, drink 995 ml of it and have a darned good night in. Then use the remaining 5 ml in the trifle the next day.

If you've got an Aldi nearby try their orange liqueur, you won't notice the difference in the trifle, the only difference will be in the price!

No orange liqueur in Aldi this week, only almond. I think the rush has started early.
