A packet of Crisps @ 28 pence a packet ,weight 24g how many packets of Crisps could one make from 56 lbs of potatoes, how much profit would be made if 56 lb bag of Potatoes ws £9.
Obviously I should take into consideration the manufacturing of Crisps ,packaging ,wastage through peeling etc but all I need is a rough guide.
If you purchase Salt and Shake Crisps is the little blue packet of Salt included in the weight.

You can be sure the crisp manufacturers pay nothing like £9 for 56lb of potatoes. They are bulk buyers so will get them at a fraction of that price.

I would expect the cooking oil and labour to cost more than the potatoes.
...doesn't answer your question, sorry,...but when saw title in Latest Posts I thought "Oh no, not another ditloid",....lol ;)
