If you send it to me...I'll gladly test it !!#
It's alcohol...it will last yonks...
it will be underneath the bottle - somewhat imbibed in the bottle. If it has been opened and not in fridge - because there is cream in it - it should be "off".
Jane...the bottle I opened a few weeks ago has a best before date of 11.2015. I keep mine for ages in the fridge after opening.
I have a bottle that's been open for at least a year maybe longer, it's kept in the drinks cabinet. I fed some to a visiting Baileys drinker at Christmas and they enjoyed it and they are still alive and well.
Have a sip - if it tastes alright then it probably is.

And my spell checker has just highlighted the word 'alright':-(
Pour a tablespoon or more into a cup of instant coffee! Wonderful.
If kept refrigerated then it will keep considerably longer than in the open in a house that is heated. It will also keep longer in the open in an unheated house than in one that is heated. I had not appreciated how it goes off so had a nearly full bottle of rancid Baileys - my house is heated.
Same with my mum karl
What a waste of baileys
It wouldn't last long enough in my house
Also try the cheaper baileys substitute. It's a bit thinner but better in coffe
i've never been in the situation to have to check the date code - once open, its usually gone!
Baileys is best poured down the sink however long it's been opened.
LOL diddlydo, I'm afraid I'm with you. Foul stuff but My Mum used to love it with Lemonade
How very dare you didlydo (lol) Baileys would never go off in my house, it would'n't last the day !!!! Beautiful stuff.

Thank you for all the interesting answers. Unfortunately my bottle falls under 'not being kept in fridge' category, I shall purchase another bottle , keep it in the fridge, or better still, try to drink it quicker!! Thanks again.J
three months after that the cream tends to curdle
I have various flavours of Bailleys that are of wide and unbelievable ages. I am not a big tippler, so bottles last me for years, and none of them are refrigerated. The alcohol preserves the cream, and no matter what age my bottles are, they always taste as if they've just been opened. My two bits of advice are - DON'T throw yours out, and just be sure to shake it very thoroughly before pouring a drink. Enjoy!
