I would say so.

Have they actually defrosted?
mmm dubious

cook them now, freeze again, defrost/reheat on Friday
Question Author
mostly ummmm yes. can i really do that dzug? then how long would i need to cook them for on friday?
Why don't you eat them today and get some more for Friday?
Question Author
because there are enough for three and only two of us tonight. plus a bit of a waste and expense to have them two nights. proper lincoln sausages off butcher
They would just need warming through on friday till hot if you follow dzug's idea.
Wouldn't the skins go all rubbery?
I think warming up the sausages would be a bad idea. I wouldn't do it.
Why a bad idea? They are reheated in ready meals.
In the days before fridges and freezers my mum would buy fresh sausages from the butchers without preservatives therein.Several days later they would be taken off the cold slab in the larder and sniffef. If no strange smells emanated we ate them.If there was a hint of a strange smell, the, lucky dog.The dog and I survived.Just use your nose on the day.I would say they would be edible on Friday if left in fridge
As the sausages will only be in the fridge for two days I would say hat they will be OK.
I would give them to the dogs. Today.
If they were fresh when you froze them (which I assume they were) then I can't see how they could possibly 'go off' in two days once thawed (assuming your fridge is at about the usual 4ºC temperature).
But don't give them to Daschunds. They are a sensitive breed.
Tilly sausages are reaheated all the time!!!

I personally would cook the sausages on friday they should be fine - smell them if dodgy don't use them.
I agree with Dave. Sausages have quite a long shelf life.
perhaps if she just gave one to the dogs to see whether they died, Tilly? And if they survived, eat the rest?
I don't think I've ever eaten a reheated sausage.
You might not have but I guess millions have.
If I cook 8 but only use 5 I will reheat the rest the following day for a buttie!
