Was going to have breaded cod and chips tonight but the use by date of the fish is April 2103,

Do you think it will be OK?

Sell by dates are the work of Satan himself. Provided the fish has been kept in the freezer it will be ok in my opinion
Bin it. Don't take a chance with sea food.
should be ok for another 90 years or so!!!
I would eat it.

I've got things in my freezer older than my kids.
Worst case scenario is you may have the runs for a couple of days. This will help build up your immune system ready for the winter. Just eat it.
It's solid ain't it ? Then it isn't going to go off fast. It's only a few months as an ice lolly over. Thaw and you should find it is fine. At the very worst it won't be at its peak, but chances are you won't notice.
if the use by date is April 2103 you've got 90 years left before it goes out of date!!
At last someone else has read the sell-by date 2103!!!!

Oops silly me, yes it should have been 2013. Ta for reply's going to eat it.
Please report back tomorrow trt after you've eaten it with (hopefully) no after effects. I'm sure it will be fine too. Enjoy!
2103,i reckon it'll be ok lol
Of course it will be fine. enjoy x
no 6 months out of date.:(
Well, I certainly wouldn't eat it. If you do, let us know afterwards if you had any ill effects.
Surely the use by date is invalid if its been frozen?
Of course it will have been OK, provided it's been kept in a properly functioning freezer. If it wasn't , it'll have smelled so bad, you'd never eat it. Use by dates are put on by supermarkets and manufacturers to con naive people into throwing stuff away and buying more. As has been said already, they're the devil's work (The devil being Messrs Tesco, etc.)
...interesting to see that SJP has demonised Tesco by name, like so many do....

Hi Folks,
well I made it through the night without puking up or having to rush to the loo, so thanks to those that said it would be OK.
I worked for a shopfitter as a boy and we did lots of supermarkets ,might i add before the sell by date scam
There was a polio or similar warning on corned beef
so they took it off the shelves and we made a compound for it ,five years later they said it was fine and it was put back on the shelves
The managers used to take the moldy cheese out and then cut the baad bit off and re-wrap it
I never bother about the dates after that
