I usually order crab & sweetcorn soup, king prawn curry & boiled rice and a portion of spring rolls.
Special fried rice and chicken balls
Crispy aromatic duck done in the rolls with hoisin sauce and spring onion and cucumber - not something I allow myself very often! also chicken chow mein.
Special fried rice with a little curry sauce.
Singapore Chow Mein.
deep fried crab claws
sweet and sour chicken
Crispy chili beef, lemon chicken, fish with ginger and spring onion, Peking duck, any chop suey, Singapore noodles, special fried rice, Dim Sum......no favourites really depends on my mood.

Local takeaway tends to serve Anglicised Chinese food, but I'm happy enough with it. If I'm in China town then I get more adventurous.

If I was actually in China or Hong Kong then my answer would be very different and my rule is to not order anything I've kept as a pet :-(

Eccles, my parents lived in HK and used to complain all the time that they could not get decent Chinese food in the UK!
Dim Sum, Singapore noodles, crispy chilli beef :)

FGT, the Chinese food I've eaten in China and HK is very hard to find in the UK and I'm not referring to the tortoise dishes I've found on menus!

Recipes move from one country to another and they are adapted to satisfy the host population, they rarely bear any relation to the original source :-(
Anything that involves prawns, but i will eat any of it. Yum!
Chop Suey (sp) isn't Chinese is it, isn't it American.
Forgot about dim sum. I love dim sum.
You're right Tony. I have a weird love for bean sprouts....no idea why though!
Yep, I love bean sprouts to, Eccles.

Always have sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style with Singapore spicy noodles. Especially nice as cold leftovers the following morning!
Lorenzino, the vast majority of posters on this thread know their food and know how to select where they eat.
