I want to buy some new potatoes, which is the best buy
450g for 69 pence
OR 750g for £1.

Having done the maths, it's negligible. Buy as many as you need.
I agree. But, let's suppose this is homework:

450g for 69p = 0.15333 pence per gramme

750g for £1 = 0.13333 pence per gramme

Therefore, you're paying ever so slightly less per gramme for your spuds in the second option.

Cooked, chilled, with chopped onions and loads of chopped mint in olive oil. Delicious.

Thank you all for your answers, They were great. I'm off to Lidl!
I went to Lidl earlier. They've sold out of spuds.
They are on offer at Morrissons at the moment. Cant remember the price though. I saw the advert last night on television.
69p for 450 grams, divided by 3 = 23p per 150 grams
£1 for 750 grams, divided by 5 = 20p per 150 grams

All nice round numbers!
