Help! 70's Drinks Party Ideas!

We're having a friends reunited reunion afterparty and we want to have a real cheese and cornfest theme regarding snacks, drinks and fancy dress.

So far for drinks we have cinzano, martini, hoffmeister and the lager of lamot

For nibbles we have cocktail sausages, cocktail cheeses and olives on cocktail sticks.

For fancy dress theme we're going for pornstar/pimp and soap opera starlets so affros, big glasses, mustaches, hairy chests, gold medallions and bright suits with big hats for the men and large shoulder pads outrageous makeup, fake bosums and big hair for the ladies

Any help would be great, the cheesier and cornier the better really.

CAMRA started in 1971, so you need loads of real ale, and no party jackpots or other sterilized fizz at all.

Cut a grapefruit in half, cover it in tin foil and stick cocktail sticks into it with cheese and pineapple pieces on them.

Bowls of Hula Hoops and Quavers.

Plates of cold quiche lorraine.

Vol au vents always make me think of the '70's, cherry tomatoes scooped out and filled with egg mayonnaise.

For drinks I would add Campari to the list.

Pernod and Black, Vodka and Lime, Babycham. Cheese and pineapple squares on sticks, mini sausage rolls, black forest gateau. I don`t think large shoulder pads for the ladies were the 70s though. That was the 80s. Don`t forget the chain belts. There`s loads of good 70s music you can have too.

Great idea sp1814, we could also go overboard with sculpted watermelons, origami napkins and mango hedgehogs etc
