after i made my soup this morning i had lots of veggies left,i didnt want them to go off as i am here myself now(son leaves today)i have butternut squash,carrots,red and green peppers,courgettes i hace cut them into chunks and put in a freezer bag,will they be ok in the freezer????

You ideally should blanch them first, then a cold rinse and dry - freeze first on a tray to prevent clumping then bag up.

Either that or make more soup and freeze in portion sized containers.

They should keep OK but will be soft when thawed out.

I'd plump for mamya's option.
Left over veg is great in a curry, get some pataks curry paste there are lots of different types I like the Madras, mix it with a tin of tomatoes, throw in all your veg, I used courgette peppers cabbage mushrooms and onions leeks any thing at all. It makes a big pan full and it freezers great so you can portion it in bags
and you have a nice meal at your finger tips.
