During my shopping trip when I bought too much cream I also bought McCains frozen Jacket Potatoes. Read quite a good review of them somewhere.
Has anyone tried them,f so what are they like?

They are nice! Quite acceptable IMO
Mum & dad love them x
Sounds a bit like buying ready-beaten eggs in a pouch. What's the point?
The point? There quite handy for work, and yes, they're ok :-)
The point is.......they take 5 mins in the microwave and actually taste good!

Was just feeling lazy when I saw them. Will try them tonight with some cold pork and salad.
yes - very good although I did find more than 5 mins was needed
How are they price wise? and what chemicals are in them, to make them ready in 5 minutes, obviously they are part cooked
personally i don't find them any tastier, cheaper, easier or quicker than doing my own!

but they are quite yummy! x
I add butter and cheese, so not very healthy in my hands! The only reason to buy them is if you are short on time.............I also add another minute to the recommended time.
Oh, I see. They save 5 minutes and (probably) cost several times as much as an actual spud. No thanks.
I buy them occasionally at work, and for a quid, and done in a few minutes i say it's not too shabby.
I like the idea of "ready-beaten eggs in a pouch" though, can you get that? :)
They save more than 5 mins gingejbee! But no one will force you, I'm sure. I just think they are "acceptable".
Get dried egg still i think
they're ok, but smaller than I expected, would rather still bake my own!........
I thought they were naff!
I think they are a great standby. I don't often buy baking type spuds as I am on my own. These sit happily in the freezer till I want one. They are healthy, only a little oil added and make a really good fast hot meal.
zactly woof - I'm on my own too - and find it's often dfificult to buy one baking spiud - just when you fancy it - so yes - good standby stuff
But a jacket potato only takes 5 minutes in a microwave surely? Unless you have huge ones.......................
