Microwave steamer

My mum gave me one of these last weekend, however the destructions only have directions on heating pasta and rice. I want to steam some veg for tonights tea, does anyone have one of these microwave steamers and how would I steam veg in it?

I usually put some water in the bottom then put in the tray. Put veg eg broccoli florets, then put on lid. Microwave for 2 minutes.
