Sponge cake will it keep?

If i make a sponge with a buttercream filling tonight will it be fresh wednesday???

It would be uncut and in an airtight container??

Yes. Keep it in the fridge too.
If it is cooled quickly enough I'd fill it on the day though
Round here it would be gone before Wednesday.....

I'd have no hesitation in eating it on Wedneday though. Even if partly used now.

I was pondering on saying freeze it - but I'm not sure what effect that would have on the filling.

I would eat it on Thursday, or even Friday. No problem.
Cover it with foil & store in cool room (not fridge).

It should be fine in a tin in cool place with the filling in, but don't put the sifted icing sugar on the top till just before you cut it.
should be fine tink, I ate a cupcake that I made and decorated on Friday, today and it was fine, and they don't keep as well as a large cake, just make sure the tin is airtight and keep in a cool place!.......
