Brighton are (naturally) the friendliest club in the country. If you come to play us, you will find ...

1. Your parts of the stadium will be lit up in your club colours.

2. Giant picture boards will display photographs of famous "legend" players from your club's history.

3. The snack bars at your end of the ground (the South Stand end) will sell food from the part of the country from where your team comes.

Yes, the menu is changed for every match, depending on which team is coming to visit. How good is that !!!

So what is your team? and what would you expect to be sold at the snack bar?

(remember it has to be food you can hold)

is this a wind up?
Question Author
No, why would it be a wind up?
So are you telling me they were selling jellied eels in the away stand last Monday night?
Pigeon pie (has to be served hot!) and ferret soup (in a cup) flat caps are a must whilst consuming both.

It sounds very hospitable where the gulls play, it has to be said.
pig swill-for Man Utd visits then ?
Question Author
Well, I didn't go in the away stand.

But yes, possibly.
Question Author
It's part of a deliberate policy to make it a good experience for visiting supporters.

That way, they will hopefully keep coming back and filling the stadium.

You have to remember that we've just moved from an 8,000 stadium, to a 22,000 stadium. We have to try to fill it.
Possibly? You mean you don't actually know the menu yet you claim you know it changes for every away team? Forgive me but it sounds a bit (meat) pie in the sky to me!
Sounds like they need to stock up on the 'sour grapes', too..........:o)
of course it has to be 'pig swill' for United supporters... cos we're that hard.
I thought it was beluga caviar for the well-hard well-heeled Man Utd followers.....
how about chicken nuggets and vimto when you play Blackburn
I think that's odd - if I went to a match in another part of the country, I'd want to try local food, not what I can get at home!
Then Boxie, come hither and enjoy some chicken nuggets and hot vimto.
So if my local team (whom I don't follow anyway) were to play there the fans could expect a cup of leek soup and a lamb oggie?
If that were the case I'd be impressed.
I'm confused now whether to buy some toffee's or scouse tomoz???
..... Hot Vimto.....?
Hot Vimto cordial, boxy........rather than heated up fizzy stuff. :o)

"if I went to a match in another part of the country, I'd want to try local food"

Sussex is not really known for its traditional local cuisine.

We could knock up some fish and chips for you, I suppose.

Actually, most visiting supporters end up down in the town after the match.
Question Author
Okay, if you went to Cornwall, you might have a pasty.

Err ... that's the only example I can think of.

But you see what I mean.
Question Author
Okay, I've found it here look ...

"Talking to Press Officer Will Jago during the tour we discovered that each week the away stand’s food stalls will be stocked with local food from the away team’s area."

Half way down the page here ...
