I imagine that this has disappeared as it is tecnically misleading, so now I can only but Mixed Sweet Spice.

But I find it too sweet and lacks punch. What do I need to buy to perk up the flavour?

I have allspice on my shelf. I'm sure it is still available.
McCormick spices should be widely available in supermarkets:

(That link conveniently suggests the flavours suggested by allspice, so it might help if you want to try a substitute)

Since allspice comes from the berries of the allspice tree, I can't see how it could infringe the Trades Descriptions Act!
Allspice is a plant not a mixture of spices
Allspice def still exists, but try adding some black pepper to whatever you have

Thanks for putting me right.
Here in the U.S., I find that Allspice and Pickling Spice are pretty much interchangeable... both produced by McCormick.
