I am baffled.. I was just asked what the difference was between diet coca cola and coca cola zero. Out of curiosity I looked on coca cola website, they both claim sambut diff wording. Am I missing something here?! Diet coke, it says is sugar free with sweeteners and no calories. Coke zero, it says is zero sugar with sweeteners and zero calories. Both cans show calories 1.0 kcal <1% both show sugar 0.0g. So now I'm confused, isn't this the same drink just different name? Do you know what difference is?

"In 2005, the company introduced Coca-Cola Zero, a sugar-free variation of regular Coca-Cola."

"Diet Coke does not use a modified form of the Coca-Cola recipe, but instead an entirely different formula."

Also, Coke Zero is a marketing exercise aimed at men, who were found not to be attracted to drinks containing the word 'diet'.
I think they use different sorts of artificial sweeteners
i always thought it was same drink but a marketing ploy to attract men
Yes Mcc. thats what I was led to believe too.
I personally would rather have 'Pepsi MAX' much better taste.

(You can use 'Coca-Cola' to clean the toilet too, does as good a job as bleach)

jem
Really, jem, that is amazing. Must remember that one. Can you do the same with Pepsi Max or not?
Diet Coke was targeted at women originally - remember the hunk of a window cleaner in front of the office block? Diet Z is for men.

A close friend of mine was the Prod Mgr who brought in DC..... if you women get upset anout male sexist advertising, well then DC is one for your men to get on to you about feae sexist ads.....

From a marketing point of view, the positioning is brilliant.
