Well we are having the full works today: Turkey with crispy bacon, pigs in blankets, stuffing, bread sauce, cauliflower cheese (yuk!), carrots, cabbage, peas, broccoli, roasties and gravy. Profiteroles if there's any room left. I'll forego the pud and just have an extra glass or two of whichever wine I grab from Morissons.

What's on your menu today?

bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, tomatoes, toast, some hash brown type thingies and mushrooms.
Question Author
You are more than welcome, Carmalee. Credenhill has got some great walks, don't you think?

CAS - you can't beat a bit of comfort food.

And a bloody mary, Mick?

Pixi, I adore keema anything~!! I love keema nan bread and keema rice - far better than the plainer options.

yes NM - remember walking around the hill with my (then)10 year old nephew who insisted we go 'off road' cos he 'knew the place like the back of his hand' - 3 hours later!
Question Author
I'd love a recipe, Pixi. Thanks!

Carmalee, I remember walking up there aged about 15 and two of my friends thought they'd start a blackberry fight with me. I looked like a giant ribena splodge by the time they'd finished. I got such a telling off by my mother. Memories!
I love it round Hereford way, an ex of mine came from near Wormelow and used to spend quite a bit of time there.

No idea for me! Don't usually have lunch on a weekend if I have breakfast and will probably have a root through the Tesco bargain bin later. Quite fancy spaghetti bolognaise.
Question Author
Spag bol was a favourite of mine as a child.

Wormelow is a lovely area. My aunt lives out there and I love to go and walk around her orchards.
I had an aunty and uncle who lived in Ross on Wye then moved to Carey. Had some fantastic hols down there going round all the villages like Much Marcle and Stow etc.
Question Author
Ross is a bit of a dump these days but Carey is quite charming. I think that's where the Cottage Of Content is???

I vaguely remember Much Marcle (out towards Ledbury I think).
We have only just finished our breakfast so we're not even looking at dinner yet - I worked for 4 hours this morning so OH cooked a full English, yummy. I think mickTalbot might have been at our house ;-0
Question Author
He's still trolleyed so he probably took a wrong turning.
The Cottage of Content indeed NoM! The Green Man at Fownhope. The Lough Pool at ? All happy memories. Sorry to hear that Ross is a bit of a dump. It was a charming little Market town in the 70s and the first Place I ever had chicken in a basket ( at the Hope and Anchor). How's that for getting the thread back on to food!

Question Author
The Green Man had a fabulous reputation for food for donkey's years but it's now more of a 2 for 1 jobby! I don't think I've ever been to The Lough Pool. People do rave about it though.
Question Author
Many thanks, Pixi. x
