Ok guys, now like a lot of you I’ve been on AB for years, and you long suffering members will have been with me thru all my ups and downs, (you all deserve medals!!), but to cut a long story short, I have, for medical reasons, become tee-total, and have been since 24th August. I used to love my evening white wine, but now it is alcohol free wine, and tbh I don’t miss it - yet! But I’d love to try making a few mocktails for over the Christmas period, and any time really.
So does anyone have any recipes they have tried?? I’ve even heard of a few you can make in the slow cooker! Any tips, or suggestions would be gratefully received. It’s very odd not being able to drink, but on the plus side my skin, scales, and bank balance are thanking me lol.
Thanku muchly xxx

Ooh that sounds good x
The BBC Good Food website has 61 mocktail recipes, nearly all with star ratings from people who've tried them (and with some having specific comments added too). Worth a look, perhaps?

(The pineapple and ginger punch would definitely be my type of drink if I had to abstain from alcohol).
Smow, I don't have any recipes for you but I just want to say very well done for giving up the booze. xx

Thank you Chris.
Awww Thankyou Barsel. I’m making myself sound like a raging wino but you know what I mean - it’s easy to get into a habit isn’t it x
I like the non alcoholic gin.
But if not drinking I just love an elderflower presse as it’s refreshing
I love elderflower pressé too, Helen. It's my 'go to' drink in a café in the summer months.

Ooh lovely DTC - Thankyou x
Be careful with mocktails. All that fruit juice and coconut milk can have loaded calories, much more than the real stuff.

Fresh orange juice poured over grenadine syrup makes a mock tequila sunrise
Confessions are usually about bad things we might feel guilty or ashamed of. Not drinking alcohol doesn’t need a confession, many would think it is a good thing - you can be the designated driver on a night out.

Good luck with it anyway, hope your health improves

Ahh ok thanks cg.
Yes that’s true Barry lol , and Thankyou x
