Tomorrow I intend cooking a beef casserole in a slow cooker.Question is can I also cook dumplings in the pot and if so for how long.

Times are generally very flexible when using slow cookers!)

its going to depend a bit on how hot your slow cooker cooks at. In mine they will be done in around 20 minutes but will happily sit there afterwards if the pot is turned down to the keep warm setting.

Well, thanks for that thread and answers...I'll try it. I had always thought that the dumpling liquid had to be brought to a boil, and then simmer them for 10 minutes uncovered and covered (I always have to look up the sequence on that).
