On the back of another thread -sorry !!

How archaic are the licensing laws in this country -seem to be the only ones which havent moved with the times.

Now -on a Sunday -no-one (in Scotland anyway) can buy alcohol before 12.30 -why -because people are attending church -!!!!

No-one can buy alcohol in a supermarket after 10pm -why !!!! Its hardly the middle of the night.

Wonder why those archaic laws exist -it peeves me because although on a Sunday I dont feel the need for a drink -I am also not religious so why should religion dictate? What if you decide to have a BBQ and want to get everything organised -sorry -the churchs still on.

Its ludicrous IMO

Whatya think peeps ???
