Saki - is my bottle drinkable?

I have just found a bottle of saki I brought back from Japan in 1989 still in its original box! Question: Is it drinkable? Does it mature with age like Scotch?
Advice much appreciated.

I would think that as long as it hasn't gone cloudy or looks fermented it would be fine.

If it's a spirit, about 40%, it'll be fine
If you can see through it, then drink it ...
If you can't see through it, sieve it, then drink it.
