I have a daughter who is approaching her 19th birthday in Nov 09, i have today been told by the CSA that i have to continue paying child support up until her 19th birthday, however this will stop if she left full time education in Jul 09 (Family allowance continues up to and including Sep 09. However i'm led to believe that it is on the say so of my ex wife as to whether or not my daughter has indeed left full time education. My question therefore relates to any confirmation or checks made by yourselves to determine the accuracy of a claimants right to claim child allowance --- how are these done, what proof do i have that my daughter is still in full time education I believe that my daughter has been out of the Education system for a long period of time now and has indeed been working. Can you help in clarifying my position in this matter ?

i would have thought this is something the CSA will sort out for you. Couldn't you just ask your daughter?
If she is over 18 and us indeed working, she will be liable for Natiinal Insurance deductions and PAYE tax deductions from her pay, and so if you tell the CSA you understand she is working then they should be able to check with the other agencies as I think they all share infornation now anyway.
she would have to provide proof of her course like a letter from her college saying she is on the course

Hi to you all,

Especially those who took time out to answer my query with regards to the daughter who is soon to be 19 years old, and my enquiry as to when i stop paying CSA payments (although i believe her to have left full time education and in employment).
Thank you for suggestions and i will of course be recontacting the CSA to help investigate this further.
Once again thanks, and i hope i can help you one day
All the best
I don't think the 'child' has to provide anything as it is the parent who is making the claim. Child maintenance is payable all the time that Child Benefit is being paid so the CSA can check government records
