Me and my OH have been invtited to the evening do of a neighbours sons wedding. Is it the done thing to give a gift at evening receptions or just give a card? TIA.

I'd say bring a gift but it depends on how well you know them. A photo album is cheap and useful! Enjoy!
definately a gift, maybe a gift voucher inside a card. i'd hand the gift to the neighbour to give to the son before the wedding day, too much going on at the evening reception.
I agree with the gift voucher inside the card idea. Less impersonal than money, but not as awkward as a gift they may not need or like. Just chose a well known shop, like John Lewis, and they will definitely appreciate it!
