I have just phoned my doctors for an emergency appointment. Have to ring back at 3:00pm today to speak to a consultant to book me in straight away. been being sick for about 2 weeks none stop in all iv managed to keep down two meals! I have also still been getting cramps which is the reason i found out i was pregnant beause they were constant. Also get sharp pains in the bottom left side near my pelvic area if i stand from the sitting position and sometimes I dont have to move at all to get these pains. I am 8 weeks pregnant. I constantly feel thirsty but find as im drinking (usually water or cordial) my mouth starts watering which is my ign I am about to be sick. These are the symptoms that come to mind at the moment, just want to know if i am over worrying and wasting doctors time or if you think I should take the appointment??? Thank you

Oh Loza, you sound like you're going through a rough patch. I would strongly recommend you go to Dr's. A friend of mine suffered from morning sickness so badly that she was hospitalised and put on an IV drip for de-hydration. Her symptoms were very similar to yours.
I hope everything goes ok

Thank you pixie_woo. I did actually think it could be de-hydration. And have been told if i go to my doctors this evening and they confirm de-hydration I will be hospitalised immediately. was this the case with your friend? Thank you
Erm, I think so. Its slightly different cos we were living in Cyprus on a RAF base where the medical care was absolutely fantastic (like private care you pay a fortune for over here!). She lost about 2 stone because she couldn't keep anything down.
On the bright side; if you are hospitalised you'll have someone looking after you. I'd have given my left leg to hand all responsibilty over to someone else while I had morning sickness!
Hi there, sorry to hear your unwell at the moment.
All i can tell you about really is my experience with this. I on New Years eve was hospitalised for a week with constant sickness and such pains. I had what you call keytones 4++++ in my urine too. This i believe is a common result of dehydration.
The midwives on the ward were saying some things to me like it might be twins as constant sickness is normally a sign.
I was given an emergency scan to which it showed that i indeed did have twins but unfortunately had lost one very early on and this was my bodies way of dealing with it. Not nice to say but all that was the amniotic sack which disolves back into your body. Hence the sickness etc etc.

However the baby i am carrying is well and healthy and i am now 29 weeks.

I do think you should see your doctor immediately just if anything to put your mind at rest. It could well be sickness and you like me are the unlucky ones to suffer quite badly from it.
Hope all goes well with you!
Take care and all the best for the future

Thank you all for your answers! x i went to see a doctor, as it was an emergency appointment i couldn't get in to see my own doctor and had to make do with another. She wasn't to helpful and basically told me to get on with it. She then took a water sample and said I had an infection caused by too much protein. She gave me antibiotics to take three times a day. She then asked me to lie on the bed whilst she felt around my tummy. She asked did anywere hurt....and it DID! only when i told her she said 'yeh thats normal'! now im a little worried. I have my 1st midwife appoinment next thursday and wondering if i told her this what she could do? and also PENNYPENNY, i've heard that a more severe morning sickness means your having twins too could this be true. My brother already thinks I am as im only 7 weeks and 4 days and already showing! x
Hya
Is there history of twins in the family? with me it was on both sides. Please try not to worry im sure your midwife will be alot more supportive.
After my hospital episode i was given a few tablets to take Iron etc but one that was good was CYCLAZINE which controls the sickness thing. I still carry them with me at all times. However im alot better there now. It does get alot better though. My early shift was a main contributer i work shifts and start at 6am. I now have that changed to 8.
Oh also try the travel sickness bands 7.99 from lloyds.
Haha yes you get to that stage where you will try anything.
Keep us posted on how you get on
Take care

Thank you pennypenny. x yes mums brother has one set of twins but no sets on my dads or my babys dads x so im not sure really but sure i will keep you informed and let you know how it goes next thursday with my midwife x thank you x
just to let you know, that only non-identical twins can run in families, in the females only, as this is caused by the woman releasing 2 eggs and both being fertilised. Identical twins are just random acts. or so i believe. good luck.xx
