Would It Be Mean To Tell My Aunt To Get A Therapist, And To Stop Dumping All Her Issues On Me?
I know i ask a lot of questions on here about my aunt, but that's just how often she irritates me. She moved in with me 4 months ago, and it's been a nightmare. Its always something with her. She has health problems, which I sympathize with her, but it's everyday, all day that shes bitching about them. The same freaking thing. I have to make up excuses to leave my own home to get away from her. She moved into my place from a trailer. It took her a while to sell her trailer, and she would bitch about it to me everyday, because she still had to pay rent for the space her trailer was in. I barely knew wtf to say, so I just told her to stay positive. So after she sold her trailer, she had to renew her license, and she was afraid her eyesight wasn't good enough, so I had to hear about that for a month. She passed that finally. So then she went to have an eye exam, and the doctor told her that she has kataracts, (or however you spell it) and that she'll have glaucoma in two years, so she was freaking out, and kept saying she's going blind. Then she got some prescription glasses. She was having trouble getting used to them, so of course she was complaining about that everyday. She would say the same thing over, and over, and ask for my advice on what she should do. Now her friend is apparently being mean to her. She wont shut up about that . That's all just a small portion of what she does. We had a small fallout about a month after she moved in, and I told her she needs a therapist, and she said that she doesn't, but at the same time, shes dumping all her issues on me. I'm not her therapist. Im the worst person to be seeking advice from. Im staying at my moms tonight just so I dont have to go home to my aunt, but I'll have to eventually, and I was essentially going to tell her to get a therapist, because you dump all your issues on me, and it's incredibly stressful.
