Neighbour And Gifts
Hi all I have a neighbour who my partner got friendly with over the years,on Mondays she goes to her flat to clean for her as she is now in her late seventies and has bad health.over the last year or so she has started to buy my partners granddaughter gifts, like drawing pads and pens when ever my partner and another neighbour takes this old neighbour out shopping,my partner's daughter said she doesn't want anymore gifts from this woman and so did my partner tell this neighbour not to bother but she refuses to listen and buys it anyway!today my partner and another neighbour took this woman shopping again and despite being told not to bother buying any more giifts she spend £30 on drawing pads, pens, art work set!I particularly find this weird especially as this particular neighbour has only met my partners grand daughter once, four years ago she is 10 now.my partners daughter doesn't know this woman either or the father so why does she refuse to respect the wishes of my partner and the granddaughters mother?

She might have been told she's 10 years old but she'll remember the 4-year old she met. Let her enjoy giving her things, even if they're not suitable for a 10-year old and, as others have said, pass them on to a worthy cause if they're not wanted.
