I think my parents are not bad parents, but i just can’t understand how they can’t ever support me when it comes to me opening up to them. I always keep my problems only for me and when i try to push myself and open up to them they always criticize me and that is the thing that always remindes me to never tell them anything too personal about me, my friends etc. I’m always trying to work hard and make them proud but they almost always make me feel bad about myself with these litte comments they make, comparing me with my more successful friend and they literally crush me into pieces. But at least, i know that i don’t want to be like that to my kids in future. Am i too dramatic over this?

They 'literally' crush you into pieces? That's harsh.
