My daughter has split from her husband, after 15 years, as she has found out he has been seeing somebody else, who has had a baby with him.

Being a big loving softy, she feels her life has been turned upside down, and has been seeing a Councilor, a few time.

Being on her own with a 7yr old boy, I bought her a CCTV, with 3 cameras, so the advice I would like is, what kind of xmas pressie I could get her, that would be suitable for the situation she is in now.

Sorry for the long post, but she means the world to me, just like you would feel for your children.

Thanks Ron.

aw ron that is sad, perhaps a treat for her and the boy, are there any Panto's on where you are. Or do her a spa day/weekend.
if its just her then i think a spa day would be welcome, she could pamper herself a bit and maybe cheer up a little.
horrible situation to be in to be honest.
Take the child for a weekend and book her in somewhere nice for her and a friend - she will not want to be totally alone
I think Emmie is right, but a treat for her alone might be nice. She is probably putting everything into her and her son.

After a split its very easy to lose your sense of yourself and feel down. What about a makeover at a local salon? I treated myself to this in the Spring and it made me feel great. Or a gift card for a really nice clothing shop so she can treat herself.
Hi Ron,
had she a slow cooker? I'm thinking she might not have a lot of time on her side, slow cookers are good to cook lots of things in and can make a meal whilst busy doing other things.
she needs pampering Ron, so a day to herself wouldn't go amiss.
Or perhaps a voucher for a fashion outlet for new warm Winter clothes? Spending on yourself isn't always thought about when you have bills and children.
I agree that a confidence booster is in order so a spa makeover full of indulgence would be great for her. Maybe also cinema vouchers so she and her son can have some fun time together.

Thanks so much Ladies, some lovely ideas.
She has a slow cooker Eleena, thanks,

It seems a Spa treatment day is favorite, we have a very good one at the bedford lodge hotel 5 star, here in Newmarket, expensive, but family is more important than money imo,

Thanks again,
Ron.
Ron good for you for looking out for your daughter...
How about rat poison, to deak with the ratbag who dropped her into this situation ?
You sound like a lovely dad, Ron.

Thanks for those kind words Emmie & Pasta.

atalanta, he dosent realize how lucky he is to be walking, I was seriously going to do something stupid, but it would only have upset my daughter more, if she had to visit me in prison.
