My elderly mum wants to live with me as she's housebound. I will have to leave my 25hr a week job. Is there still a carers allowance or anything else as I will lose Working Tax Credit as well.

Here is the AgeUK page about claiming benefits for the elderly, I think you are definately entitled to Attendance allowance http://www.ageuk.org.uk/money-matters/claiming-benefits/ There is also a benefits checker to fill in and see that you are getting all you should be getting. This should help you. Have a look and see what you're entitled to, then give them a call.

Lacuna...do take care to get all the facts and study everything really well. I had to give up my job to care for my husband for eleven years. I was told I was entitled to a carer's allowance. By the time they had faffed about adding and taking away I was awarded £1 a week.
There were other benefits we could have applied for but being green I didn't find out until after he died.
All the best...it's not easy. x
Contact AgeUK they have advisers who can tell you what the financial situation is and how to claim what you are entitled to . Or go to the CAB who can do it as well.
definitely try both Age UK and CAB, helpful advice, good luck
